CoolPeel is an innovative way to safely, and comfortably, deliver the benefits of a traditional CO2 resurfacing treatment. CO2 lasers have long been the gold standard in treating wrinkles, age spots, acne scars and other blemishes as well as tightening skin, balancing tone and improve texture. The Tetra CO2 is the only laser system able to deliver a fully ablative treatment without the downtime. This trademarked treatment uses specific settings unique to the Tetra and is termed the CoolPeel™.
The CoolPeel is one of the gentlest laser treatments on the market. This laser treatment uses a high-peak-power short pulse to deliver a full fractionated laser treatment without thermal damage to the skin. Since the skin doesn't receive thermal damage, it can heal rapidly. Patients are typically a bit red (like a mild sunburn) the day after the procedure. The next day their skin may be pink and make-up can be worn 24-48 hours after the treatment.

What Can I expect during the CoolPeel Treatment?
This procedure is performed in our office and does not require an operating room or anesthesia. All it requires it a topical numbing cream for 15-30 minutes. The treatments is very well tolerated with minimal pain.
Before a laser treatment, we meet with potential patients to examine their skin with our VISIA facial skin analyzer, answer any questions, and talk about their treatment goals. This consultation experience ensures that each patient receives the most effective treatment options for their skin concerns. If this laser isn't your best option, we can recommend another one of our many available treatments.
When it is time for the laser treatment to begin, patients will be provided special safety glasses that will protect their eyes from the lasers during the procedure. A specialized handpiece is moved over the skin as the powerful laser targets skin concerns. During this time we will use our Sub Z zimmer which blows cold air that will immediately cool on contact, minimzing any discomfort from the laser.
We typically treat the whole face using the Tetra laser but will focus particular attention on areas of concern. The laser device has four emission modes and advanced controls.
